Check for COVID-19 first before Malaria – NCDC warns
The Director-General of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, Dr. Chikwe Ihekweazu, has disclosed that the second wave of the coronavirus is fast spreading rapidly resulting in mild symptoms to death in many individuals.
Nigeria recently crossed the 100,000 thresholds of cases and a huge spike was experienced within the last four weeks.
The medical expert disclosed that victims continue to experience the symptoms of the dreaded virus even after recovery and warned that Nigerians should embrace the preventive measures.

He also advised medical workers to give priority to COVID-19 when people assume they are unwell. As such, COVID-19 should be ruled out before testing for Malaria.
