In the latest development amid the political turbulence engulfing Rivers State, Professor Chinedu Nmom, the Commissioner for Education, has become the sixth official to step down from Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s cabinet. This resignation follows the growing rift between Governor Fubara and his predecessor, now Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike.

The wave of resignations gained momentum as Commissioner for Finance, Isaac Kamalu, publicly announced his departure from Governor Fubara’s administration.
