By-election Shock: APC Candidate Loses Polling Unit to PDP in Ibadan North
The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Fola Sunday Oyekunle, has defeated his All Progressives Congress (APC) opponent, Adewale Haastrup Olatunji, at Olatunji’s polling unit in the Ibadan North Federal Constituency by-election.
Olatunji, who voted earlier in the day at Unit 27, Ward 10, managed only six votes at the unit, while Oyekunle polled nine. The Labour Party candidate trailed with two votes.
Despite 248 voters being registered at the unit, turnout was low as only 17 people cast their ballots.
The result was announced at the polling station a few hours after voting ended.
