Bwala a Failed Lawyer Seeking Tinubu’s Attention by Lying Against Me – Ndume

Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume, representing Southern Borno in the National Assembly, has criticized Mr. Daniel Bwala, a former opponent of the All Progressives Congress (APC), for accusations made against him. Ndume claims Bwala’s actions are an attempt to gain favor from President Bola Tinubu.

Bwala, a lawyer and politician who previously served as a spokesperson for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) during the 2023 presidential campaign, has recently aligned himself with President Tinubu. He has publicly criticized Senator Ndume after Ndume’s interview on AriseNews, where Ndume expressed concerns over rising living costs and insecurity under the current administration. This interview led to Ndume’s removal as Senate Chief Whip.

Bwala alleged on his X (formerly Twitter) account that Ndume was planning to mobilize youths in Bwala’s local government area of Hawul, Borno State, to attack him. Hawul is within Ndume’s senatorial district.

Speaking to journalists in Maiduguri on Saturday, Ndume dismissed Bwala’s claims, questioning Bwala’s ties to Hawul and describing him as a failed lawyer seeking attention. Ndume clarified that his AriseNews interview did not target President Tinubu personally but criticized certain government policies.

“Bwala’s strategy is to gain the President’s attention and possibly secure police protection or employment,” Ndume stated. “Bwala’s accusations are baseless and an attempt to portray the peace-loving youths of Hawul as violent.”

He also warned President Tinubu to be cautious of Bwala, whom he described as “a mad dog who barks and bites even the owner.” Ndume urged Bwala to reconnect with his roots in Borno and stop attacking people for personal gain.

Ndume concluded by highlighting that despite Bwala’s attempts to undermine him, he has strong support in Hawul and Southern Borno from credible and influential figures.
