Burial Plans Set for Man and Two Wives Killed by Unknown Gunmen in Ihiala, Anambra
The Igboanugo family has announced the burial schedule for Chief Japhet Kennedy Igboanugo and his two wives, who were shot dead by unknown gunmen in Ihiala Local Government Area, Anambra State.
According to reports, the attackers entered Ekwuru Issekke community on May 22, 2025, and targeted the Igboanugo residence, killing Chief Igboanugo, his wives, and a daughter.
The family has scheduled a Christian wake on April 8, 2026, at the family compound. A burial mass will follow on April 9, after which the victims will be laid to rest.
The community continues to mourn the loss while authorities investigate the attack.
