Buhari meets with Buratai behind closed doors
President Muhammadu Buhari met with the Chief of Army Staff Lt Gen Tukur Buratai behind closed doors in the presidential villa in Abuja.
There were speculations that the Chief of Army Staff was on a mission to update the president on happenings at the battle field in the North East region of Nigeria.
With the ongoing war against the Boko Haram and the Islamic State West African Province terrorists, the Army Chief had relocated to the area to coordinate his men.
The Army Chief, Lt Gen Tukur Buratai had been reported to have lost his mother while he was off at the war front.
He was however in Abuja on Sunday, but got to meet the president on Monday for the briefing.
Other details of the meeting are however still sketchy.
