Brazilian Plane Crash Kills Five in São Paulo Residential Area
A single-engine plane crashed in a residential area in the Brazilian state of São Paulo has resulted in the tragic loss of at least five lives, including that of a minor.
The Fire Department of São Paulo (southeast) reported on its official handle about the aircraft crash, revealing the grim discovery of an additional charred body, identified as a minor, bringing the total fatalities to five.
Details about the victims and their connection to the crashed aircraft were not immediately provided by the firefighters. The aircraft in question was described as “small in size” and of the “single-engine type.”
The crash site, located in the town of Jaboticabal, over 340 km from São Paulo city, depicted a harrowing scene as the plane fell in a tree-lined square surrounded by houses. Social media images circulating after the incident captured the plane engulfed in flames, highlighting the severity of the crash.
The ill-fated aircraft was identified as a single-engine RV-10, designed to accommodate a pilot and three passengers. Authorities are expected to conduct a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash as the community mourns the loss of lives in this tragic aviation incident.
