Blunder As Falana Accuses Moghalu of Accepting Appointment From Buhari
Human rights activist, Femi Falana (SAN) on Monday accused the presidential candidate of the Young Progressive Party (YPP), Prof. Kingsley Moghalu of opportunism.
Falana who spoke at the 2019 Felabration Symposium themed, “The Fela Debates”, held in the honour of the Afro legend, Fela Anikulapo Kuti said Moghalu is an opportunist for accepting appointment from president Muhammadu Buhari.
“I think it is unfair to single out Dr. Moghalu for recognition, we should not celebrate opportunism. Here is a politician who contested under a platform of a political party who has now moved conveniently to the APC, they have just given him an appointment and he has now discarded his own political party, I don’t think that is fair for us,” Falana said.
However, it turned out to be a case of mistaken identity as Falana mistook the national auditor of the All Progressives Congress (APC), George Moghalu who was recently appointed as the new Managing Director of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) by Buhari for the YPP presidential candidate.
Moghalu who left the event before Falana spoke took to Twitter to respond to the comments by the Senior Advocate of Nigeria.
