Attempted Bombing Foiled at UBA Bank in Plateau, Suspect Apprehended
Security operatives successfully thwarted a potential bombing at a United Bank for Africa (UBA) branch situated in Dadin Kowa town, Jos South, Plateau State. The suspect, whose identity remains undisclosed, was apprehended with belts containing what appeared to be an Improvised Explosive Device (IED).
According to eyewitnesses and a viral video circulating online, the arrest took place on Monday when vigilant members of the security team at the bank noticed the suspicious behavior of the individual. Swift action led to the timely apprehension of the suspect before any harm could be inflicted.
Amidst the tense situation, an angry mob gathered, demanding retribution against the suspect. However, law enforcement officers intervened and transferred the individual to police custody for further investigation.
Despite numerous attempts, authorities, including State Police Spokesman Alfred Alabo, have yet to comment on the incident, leaving the public eager for updates on the unfolding investigation.
