Assassins Stormed Our Home, Missed My Father – Oyedepo’s Daughter
Love Ogah, daughter of Bishop David Oyedepo, founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, has shared a harrowing story of a failed assassination attempt on her father during her teenage years. Speaking during a recent sermon, Ogah recounted the terrifying moment when a group of armed men stormed their home with the declared intention of killing the popular clergyman.
According to Ogah, the assailants did not hide their purpose and combed every room in the house in search of Bishop Oyedepo. Despite their determined efforts, she said, they were unable to locate him. “The assassins came and said they came to kill my father. They searched everywhere, room to room, but couldn’t find him,” she recalled.
Ogah went on to reveal that after the attackers had left, Bishop Oyedepo emerged and claimed he had been present the entire time, observing the intruders as they moved through the house. “After they left, my father came out and said he saw them the whole time — they just couldn’t see him. All of us were looking like it was a film trick,” she said.
She described the incident as a supernatural experience, with Bishop Oyedepo insisting that he had not hidden or escaped but had been physically present, protected by divine intervention that rendered him invisible to the assailants.
