> **Woman Killed by Vehicle in Convoy on Rivers State University Campus, Two Arrested**
A young woman identified as Eno has died after she was struck by a vehicle travelling in a convoy on the campus of Rivers State University in Port Harcourt.
The incident occurred on Tuesday along one of the roads within the university. It was not immediately clear whether the victim was a student of the institution.
According to eyewitnesses, the vehicles involved in the convoy were allegedly driven by students. Some members of the convoy reportedly fled the scene after the victim was hit.
Security personnel at the university alerted the police and immediately shut all campus exit points to prevent those involved from escaping.
Operatives of the Nkpolu Divisional Police Headquarters, led by the Divisional Police Officer, CSP Henry Ogbuefi, worked with the university's security team to arrest two suspects identified as Onunaka K. and Daniel Ikechi.
The suspects were reportedly driving a Toyota Camry Spider and a Mercedes-Benz E300 at the time of the incident.
The victim's body has been recovered and deposited in a mortuary, while the two suspects remain in police custody at the Nkpolu Divisional Police Headquarters in Mile 3, Diobu.
The spokesperson for Rivers State University, Victor Banigo, confirmed that the institution is aware of the incident and said an official statement will be released.
The spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command, Blessing Agaba, also confirmed the arrests.
"Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident, while the corpse has been retrieved and deposited in the mortuary," Agaba said.
Police said investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the fatal incident.
