Residents of Ogbe Abor Sub-Village, Uruowulu, Obosi, are celebrating after a community borehole that had been out of service for about six months was restored through the intervention of Engr. Eric Nnamdi Anyamene.
The breakdown of the borehole had left families without a reliable source of water, forcing men, women, and children to walk long distances daily in search of clean water.
Following the intervention by the founder of the Eric Nnamdi Anyamene Foundation (ENAF), the borehole has been repaired and is once again supplying water to the community.
Speaking on behalf of the residents, community members expressed gratitude to Anyamene for responding to their plight, describing the restoration of the borehole as a timely intervention that has brought relief to the village.
"Our people are happy again. Water is flowing once more, and the burden of trekking long distances has been lifted. We sincerely appreciate Engr. Eric Anyamene for coming to our aid when we needed help the most," a community representative said.
The residents also offered prayers for Anyamene, asking God to bless and strengthen him as he continues his humanitarian efforts.
The borehole project is the latest in a series of community interventions undertaken by Engr. Anyamene through ENAF, which has continued to support communities across Idemili North and South in the areas of education, healthcare, youth empowerment, and infrastructure.
