Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has said President Bola Tinubu has delivered more development projects to Northern Nigeria than any previous Nigerian leader, citing investments in infrastructure, agriculture and security.

Speaking during an interview on ARISE NEWS on Tuesday, the governor said the administration's interventions had strengthened support for the president across the region ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

Sani said Tinubu's record in office had surpassed that of previous administrations in terms of development in the North.

"President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has done more than any leader for Northern Nigeria. No president has done for the North, in terms of development, what President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has done in the last three years," he said.

The governor added that his assessment was based on available data and statistics, expressing confidence that Tinubu would secure more votes in the North in 2027 than he did in the 2023 election.

On security, Sani said improvements in parts of Kaduna State reflected the administration's efforts to restore stability. He pointed to Birnin Gwari, once regarded as one of the state's most troubled areas, saying residents and visitors could now travel there without police escorts.

He also claimed that more than 500,000 hectares of farmland previously abandoned because of insecurity had been recovered, while similar improvements had been recorded in other northern states.

According to the governor, security and development—not ethnicity or religion—would shape voting decisions in the North during the next presidential election.

"The North will not vote on the basis of religion, ethnicity or tribe," he said.

Sani also renewed his support for the creation of state police, describing it as the most practical solution to Nigeria's security challenges.

He said adequate safeguards had been proposed to prevent abuse by state governors, adding that the establishment of state police would significantly improve security across the country.

"If state police is created, it will be a major milestone in addressing insecurity," the governor said.
