APC Names Acting National Chairman Following Ganduje’s Resignation
By Arthur Maduka
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed Alhaji Ali Bukar Dalori as Acting National Chairman after Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje stepped down unexpectedly, citing health reasons. Ganduje, who served for nearly two years, submitted his resignation to the party’s National Secretary, expressing appreciation to President Bola Tinubu for the opportunity to serve.
APC National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka announced that Dalori, the current Deputy National Chairman (North), will take charge until the National Executive Committee meets to appoint a substantive chairman. Ganduje’s departure came as a surprise to party members, but the party confirmed that all other National Working Committee members remain in their positions.
Dalori, an experienced party administrator from Borno State, will lead the APC pending the December convention where a new chairman will be elected.
