APC Condemns Soludo’s Desperate Attack on Senator Ekwunife’s Academic Credentials
- Describes it as Psychological Warfare Against APC’s Rising Influence.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) strongly condemns Governor Charles Soludo’s shameless attack on our Deputy Governorship candidate, Senator Uche Ekwunife, at yesterday’s rally where he maliciously described her PhD from Atlantic International University as fake. In a statement, the Zonal Publicity Secretary of the party, Igboeli Arinze described it as a desperate act representing psychological warfare designed to whittle down APC’s growing strength through undermining Senator Ekwunife’s considerable influence in Anambra State.
Whilst setting the records straight Arinze pointed out that the “Atlantic International University (AIU) is duly recognized by ASIC (Accreditation Service for International Schools, Colleges & Universities), an internationally recognized accreditation body with full membership in The International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE). The fact that AIU may not hold U.S. federal recognition does not invalidate the authenticity of its certificates. International accreditation operates on different standards, and ASIC maintains rigorous academic requirements.” He said.
Arinze also pointed out that It is unacceptable that a government which has boasted of achieving much with substantial windfall at its disposal would rather attack the academic qualifications of the incoming Deputy Governor instead of showcasing its supposed achievements. This diversionary tactic exposes the bankruptcy of ideas in APGA’s campaign strategy.
He also noted and reminded Ndi Anambra that such a desperate ruse has failed before and will always fail.
“Ndi Anambra will recall how the PDP and President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015 made General Muhammadu Buhari’s certificate a campaign issue. That strategy backfired spectacularly, contributing to their electoral defeat. Governor Soludo and APGA are walking the same path of political self-destruction.”
What Ndi Anambra truly want to see is what Governor Soludo has accomplished in four years: On Security: Has Anambra become safer under his watch?
On Infrastructure: What major roads has he constructed or rehabilitated?
On Education: What has he done to improve our schools?
On Healthcare: How has he improved our healthcare system?
On Economic Development: What industries has he attracted? How many jobs created?
These are the issues that matter, not orchestrated attacks on a distinguished Senator whose contributions to Anambra’s development are well documented.
We challenge Governor Soludo and APGA to meet us on the battlefield of ideas, policies, and achievements. Let us debate real issues affecting Ndi Anambra rather than engaging in diversionary certificate wars.
Come November 8th, 2025, Ndi Anambra will choose between a government that has mastered excuses and attacks, and a team led by Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu and Senator Uche Ekwunife ready to deliver genuine development.
The time for change has come, and no amount of certificate controversies will derail the march toward a better Anambra State.”
