Anambra Police Arrest Robbery Suspect in Nnewi, Recover Stolen Motorcycle
Police operatives from Otolo-Nnewi Division have arrested a 20-year-old male suspect, Nnaji Chukwuka, identified as a member of an armed robbery syndicate notorious for terrorizing the Nnewichi area of Nnewi North Local Government. The arrest took place on May 29, 2025, and led to the recovery of a machete and a stolen Honda Cub 120 motorcycle.
According to the Anambra State Police Command, the arrest followed a series of detailed investigations and surveillance prompted by persistent complaints from residents about the gang’s activities. The suspect is currently in custody and has provided valuable information assisting ongoing efforts to apprehend other members of the group.
The rightful owner of the recovered motorcycle has since been identified, and the vehicle has been returned.
