Anambra 2025: Reps Set the Record Straight—No Endorsement for Soludo!
Members of the Anambra State Caucus in the House of Representatives denied endorsing Governor Chukwuma Soludo for re-election in the upcoming 2025 governorship election. This clarification came after reports surfaced on social media claiming otherwise.
The leader of the caucus, Hon. Victor Afam Ogene, representing the Ogbaru federal constituency, explained that the visit to Governor Soludo at the Governor’s Lodge in Amawbia was solely a courtesy call aimed at discussing collaborative efforts for the state’s development.
Hon. Ogene emphasized that the meeting focused on addressing the state’s development and security challenges and fostering cooperation beyond party lines. He condemned the endorsement claims as “blackmail” by “meddlesome interlopers” and reiterated that no discussions of political endorsements took place.
Governor Soludo himself confirmed the nature of the meeting on his social media, highlighting a commitment to joint initiatives for the benefit of Anambra State, without any mention of political endorsements.
The caucus urged the public to disregard rumors and focus on the collaborative efforts to advance the state’s development, marking a new chapter in the relationship between the executive and legislative branches in Anambra.
