AMUZU URGES NIGERIANS TO INVEST MORE IN YOUTH DEVELOPMENT, TO GROW THE NATION
Nigerians especially Private Organisations and government at all tiers have been urged to invest more in the Nation’s Youth to develop their potentialities, by creating opportunities and supporting them, to ensure development in the Country.
The Founder and Chairman of Toyin Amuzu Foundation, Chief Toyin Amuzu, gave this advice at the final match of the Egba Youth Football Championship which took place at the Muda Lawal Stadium, Abeokuta.
Four categories of awards which include the best player, the best goalkeeper, most valuable player and fairplay were sponsored by Chief Amuzu with a cash prize of Fifty thousand naira each to the four winners.
Chief Toyin Amuzu who stressed the need to create an enabling environment for the youth to thrive, explained that the support was part of his Not-for-profit’s efforts aimed at encouraging youth Development.
He promised that Toyin Amuzu foundation would organise more sporting and educational activities, that would further develop the youth, saying “just last Month a talent hunt show was organised to discover and support talents in Abeokuta South”.
According to him, “the Toyin Amuzu Foundation would not relent in its efforts to improve the youth and better the lots of the people”.
“We have to invest more on the youth in various endeavours of life as this is the only way we can tap their potentialities for the growth of our State and Nation at large”.
Chief Amuzu said “this youth age category needs serious attention since it is the most active period and the youth form a larger portion of the labour force of the Country”.
