2020/2021 English Premier League: What each team got as Prize money and other individual awards

The 2020/2021 English Premier League season has come and gone with paths on the back for some and “hammers” being thrown at others.

It was an exciting season for Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City team, who are in for a treble having won the EFL cup, the Premier League title with 86 points and are in contention for the coveted UEFA Champions League trophy.

Manchester United are in second position with 74points, followed by Liverpool and Chelsea FC with 69 points and 67 points respectively.

Leicester City with 66 points dropped out of the Champions League places having lost their last game at home to Tottenham Hotspurs by 2goals to 4.

Surprisingly, West Ham United finished sixth with 65 points and would be playing in Europe next season.

Fulham, West Bromwich Albion and Sheffield United were all relegated to the lower division.

For all their efforts, all the 20 teams in the 2020/2021 Premier League season would be getting some prize money as stated:


1st – Man City – £38m

2nd – Man Utd – £36m

3rd – Liverpool – £34m

4th – Chelsea – £32m

5th – Leicester – £30m

6th – West Ham – £28m

7th – Tottenham – £27m

8th – Arsenal – £24m

9th – Leeds – £23m

10th – Everton – £21m

11th – Aston Villa – £19m

12th – Newcastle – £17m

13th – Wolves – £15m

14th – Crystal Palace – £13m

15th – Southampton – £11m

16th – Brighton – £10m

17th – Burnley – £8.5m

18th – Fulham – £6m

19th – West Brom – £4m

20th – Sheffield United – £2.5m

There were also some individual accolades for brilliance during the Premier League season.

Harry Kane – 23

Mohammed Salah – 22

Bruno Fernandes – 18

Highest Goals Assists:

Harry Kane – 14

Bruno Fernandes – 12

Kevin De Bruyne – 12

Highest Shots on Target:

Harry Kane – 53

Mohammed Salah – 52

Bruno Fernandes – 51

Most Goals from Penalty Kicks:

Bruno Fernandes – 9

Jamie Vardy – 8

Jorginho – 7

Most Goals from Free Kicks:

James Ward Prowse – 4

Most Goals from Headers:

Dominic Calvert Lewin – 7

Christian Benteke – 6

Edison Cavani – 6

The next Premier League season promises to be as exciting as always with Norwich City, Watford and the winner of the promotion playoffs between Brentford and Swansea getting into the thick of Premiership action.
