“America Will One Day Have a Muslim President” — Sheikh Gumi
Nigerian Islamic scholar Sheikh Ahmad Gumi has predicted that the United States will one day elect a Muslim as its president.
The cleric made this remark on Facebook following the victory of Zohran Mamdani, who recently became New York City’s first Muslim mayor.
Celebrating Mamdani’s win, Gumi wrote on his verified page, “Mamdani has made it! ICU in Washington should be ready for heart attacks! Muslims will make it to WH.”
Zohran Mamdani, 34, a Democratic candidate, defeated Andrew Cuomo and Curtis Sliwa to secure the mayoral seat, marking a historic milestone for the Muslim community in American politics.
