Airport Cleaner Returns $10,000 Found in Kano Aircraft
An employee of the Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO), Auwal Dankode, has been hailed for his integrity by returning $10,000 that he found while cleaning flight MS878.
Dankode, a worker at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano, was said to have found the cash during his routine cleaning duties and immediately reported it to the airline company’s manager.
This was disclosed in a post via NAHCO’s X handle on Thursday, August 29.
The post reads: “Auwal Dankode, a NAHCO employee, found $10,000 while cleaning MS878 and immediately returned it to the airline station manager. His behaviour is a true testament to NAHCO’s commitment to integrity.
“NAHCO is proud of the exemplary act of Auwal and others exhibiting the highest degree of honesty.“
