Again, Gunmen Attack Vigilante Facility in Anambra, Kill One Operative

On Thursday, June 5, 2025, a violent attack shook the Umunze community in Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State. Armed gunmen launched a coordinated assault on a local vigilante facility, resulting in the tragic death of one vigilante operative.

The vigilante group targeted is believed to be part of the Agunechemba vigilante network, which was established earlier this year by the Anambra State Government to help maintain security and order in the region.
