Again, Dangote Refinery Reduces Fuel Price Nationwide

Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals has announced a further N15 reduction in the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), bringing the price in Lagos to N875 per litre. The new price structure also sets PMS at N885 per litre in the South West, N895 in the North West and North Central, and N905 per litre in the South East, South South, and North East regions.

The new pricing applies across all retail outlets operated by its key partners, including MRS, Ardova (AP), Heyden, Optima Energy, Techno Oil, and Hyde. The refinery also urged independent marketers to align with its distribution network in support of President Bola Tinubu’s “Nigeria First” policy, which promotes local production and consumption.

This latest move continues Dangote Refinery’s trend of strategic price reductions aimed at easing fuel costs for Nigerians. Earlier in February 2025, the company implemented a combined reduction of N125 per litre. In April, an additional N45 cut followed. Diesel and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) prices have also been lowered significantly, with positive effects on transportation, industry, and household energy use.

Despite global crude price volatility, the company reaffirmed its commitment to price stability and economic support. It credited the federal government’s Naira-for-Crude Initiative for enabling consistent local refining and reduced fuel prices.

“We are proud to contribute to Nigeria’s energy security and economic resilience by refining petroleum locally at the world’s largest single-train refinery,” the company said, aligning its mission with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Dangote Petroleum Refinery assured Nigerians of a steady supply of fuel with reserves capable of meeting both domestic demand and generating surplus for export, which supports the country’s foreign exchange earnings.
