African Village Monarch Oba Adefunmi II Stabbed to Death by Sister in South Carolina
Oba Adejuyigbe Adefunmi II, the esteemed monarch of Oyotunji African Village, was fatally stabbed by his sister in Southern Carolina, USA. The 47-year-old king succumbed to his injuries at a nearby hospital following the altercation.
The suspect, identified as 53-year-old Akiba Kasale Meredith, fled the scene on foot after the incident. According to WJCL, authorities confirmed the death of the victim, who was stabbed on Monday at Oyotunji African Village in Beaufort County.
The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a report of the stabbing around 2:45 p.m. The confrontation occurred at Bryant Lane within the village. Meredith was apprehended shortly after and has been charged with murder. She is currently being held at the Beaufort County Detention Center.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
