AFCON 2025 Qualifier: CAF Announces Postponement of Libya vs. Nigeria Match
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced the postponement of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier between Libya and Nigeria, originally scheduled for this evening in Libya.
In an official statement, CAF confirmed that the match would not proceed as planned but did not provide specific reasons for the decision. The football governing body indicated that the matter would be referred to the appropriate authorities for further review.
“The TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 Qualifier fixture between Libya and Nigeria will not take place as scheduled tonight,” the brief statement read. “The matter will be referred to the competent CAF bodies.”
