Adio Salami deserves to be celebrated at all times, says Doherty

Former State Chairman of Lagos PDP, Eng. Adedeji Doherty says that Alhaji (Chief) Adio Salami, the State Organising Secretary of Lagos PDP, deserves to be celebrated at all times having led the party to becoming the party of choice in Ojo Local Government.

Eng. Doherty, in a birthday message e-signed on his behalf by Mr. Muka Popoola, the head of DD Media Team, Eng. Doherty recalled that Alhaji Salami, as LGA Chairman led the PDP to defeat the ruling APC back-to-back in the 2015 and 2019 general elections at Ojo Local Government.

Alhaji Salami, a septuagenarian, who is also the Onijisu of Ijisu in Ojo Local Government, turned a year older on Saturday, September 24, 2022.

Noting that it was not a mean feat defeating the rigging machinery of the APC in Lagos as PDP has done twice in Ojo Local Government, Eng. Doherty described the Onijisu as the most dynamic native political player who understands the kinetic forces of his locality and usually deploys his native intelligence in guiding the mass of the PDP followers to making the party the most formidable in the local government.

Doherty, who is also the Convener of the Unity Freedom Group (UFG), said he had benefitted personally from the wise counsel of Alhaji Salami as one of his closest political associates, praying God to continue to grant the grace of good health and a more blissful life is his years ahead.
