ADC Reminds Tinubu of His Vow to Get Voted Out If He Can’t Deliver on 24-Hour Electricity in 4 Years

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has reminded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of his campaign vow to provide uninterrupted electricity within four years—or risk being voted out of office. In a post on X early Sunday, the party accompanied its criticism with a video clip of Tinubu making the promise, calling attention to what it described as a glaring failure to deliver on that commitment more than two years into his presidency.

With the administration now beyond its halfway point, the ADC is demanding accountability, asking why the promised transformation of the power sector has yet to materialise. “Mr. President,” the statement concluded, “we ask again—where is the light?”
