ADC Launches Free Online Membership Registration Nationwide

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has launched a free online membership registration platform as part of its nationwide registration and revalidation exercise.

The digital portal, available at adcregistration.ng, follows the party’s earlier rollout of physical registration across states, which began in Abuja last month. The initiative is aimed at aligning the party’s membership database with the requirements of the Electoral Act 2026, which mandates political parties to maintain verified digital registers.

Under the new system, only members whose details are fully captured and verified in the ADC’s official digital database will be eligible to vote or contest in the party’s primaries.

Party officials say the physical and grassroots registration drive, which began in February, has attracted participation from across Nigeria and among Nigerians in the diaspora. The online option is expected to broaden access by allowing eligible individuals to register remotely at no cost.

The ADC said the digital platform is intended to simplify the enrolment process while ensuring data accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.

Members who previously registered on the party’s former platform are required to revalidate their membership through the new portal. The party noted that additional mandatory information is now required to meet provisions of the Electoral Act and guidelines issued by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Support groups and affiliated associations have also been urged to complete registration through the portal within the designated window.

While implementing the digital registration, the party reiterated its objections to certain provisions of the Electoral Act 2026, which it argues favour the ruling party, as well as aspects of the timetable issued by INEC.

The ADC said it remains focused on expanding its membership base and positioning itself as a modern political movement with nationwide reach.
