“Adam and Eve Ate Nothing, Alcohol, Cigarette is Not a Sin” – Apostle Abel Damina Sparks Debate
Nigerian cleric Apostle Abel Damina has stirred debate with his recent remarks about Adam and Eve, claiming the biblical couple did not eat anything in the Garden of Eden. Speaking during a sermon, the controversial preacher questioned the widely held belief that their actions involved consuming forbidden fruit, asserting that there is no direct evidence to support this interpretation.
“Adam and Eve ate nothing. They didn’t eat anything. Were you there? You were not there. So how do we know whether they ate anything?” Apostle Damina asked his congregation. He went on to suggest that Jesus, as the ultimate authority, explained the true events of the Garden of Eden.
The cleric further argued that if Adam and Eve had eaten something, it would not have made them sinners, emphasizing that sin cannot stem from consuming food or drink. In a broader critique of moral judgments tied to lifestyle choices, he added, “I have told you alcohol is not a sin. I have said cigar is not a sin. Am I saying you should smoke? You should have sense from your father’s house to know that cigar will cut your life.”
