5,000 Anambra Youths Empowered with N2 Billion Grant by Governor Soludo

Governor Chukwuma Soludo has disbursed a total of N2 billion in start-up capital to empower over 5,000 youths from all 21 local government areas of Anambra State. This remarkable endeavor follows the training of these young individuals and the initiation of two skill development programs by the state government.

This cohort represents the first wave of beneficiaries of the program, and they have already received their cheques during a ceremony held in Awka. The efforts to tackle unemployment and channel the vibrant energy of Anambra’s youth towards productive avenues were celebrated by Hon. Chuks Azotani, the committee chairman on Information Technology and Creative Economy, who represents Dunukofia Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly.

Azotani expressed his commendation for Governor Soludo’s visionary program, aimed at transforming the lives of young people and mitigating unemployment and restiveness. He emphasized that this initiative would not only reduce unemployment but also cultivate a new generation of self-sufficient entrepreneurs who can provide employment opportunities for others.

Speaking on the potential economic impact of the program, Azotani stated, “The positive effects of this program of 1 youth, 2 skills initiated by the Soludo administration will foster robust economic impacts in Information, Communication, and Technology.” He encouraged the trained beneficiaries to make the most of their newly acquired skills and knowledge and judiciously invest their seed capital to become successful business owners and employers of labor in the state.

In particular, Hon. Chuks Azotani was delighted to note that approximately 100 of the program’s first batch of beneficiaries hailed from the Dunukofia local government area. He assured the youth from the area that more opportunities for progress and development were on the horizon.

Azotani also issued a general call to Nigerian youths, urging them to engage in meaningful ventures, particularly in the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). He emphasized that the Soludo administration has even more programs in the pipeline, all aimed at creating platforms for the socio-economic development of Anambra State.

In conclusion, he appealed to the people of Anambra to unite and support the state government’s efforts in making the state more prosperous and livable. Governor Soludo’s commitment to youth empowerment and economic development has set the stage for a brighter future in Anambra State.
