400L Unilorin Student Sets New Global Record in Mathematics
Kazeem Sanusi, a 400-level Mathematics student at the University of Ilorin, has set a new Guinness World Record with a lecture that lasted 31 hours, 42 minutes, and 54 seconds. The remarkable achievement, officially witnessed by representatives of Guinness World Records, broke the previous record of 26 hours of continuous teaching.
The event drew a large, enthusiastic audience and was graced by top university officials, including the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Wahab Egbewole (SAN), Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Management Services) Prof. Adegboyega Fawole, Registrar Mr. Mansur Alfanla, Dean of Physical Sciences Prof. Abdullahi Alafara Baba, Acting Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Alex Akanmu, and Student Union President Comrade Victor Agezeh.
In a statement by the University’s Director of Information, Kunle Akogun, it was confirmed that Sanusi is now awaiting official certification from Guinness World Records. Prof. Egbewole congratulated Sanusi on the feat, describing it as a source of immense pride for the university. He reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to providing an environment where students can discover and pursue their passions, expressing hope that others would be inspired to break barriers and elevate the university’s global standing.
