2027: Tinubu Will Secure Only 30% of Northern Votes – Zainab Galadima
Zainab Galadima, daughter of New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) chieftain Buba Galadima, has predicted that President Bola Tinubu may secure just 30 percent of votes from the Northern region in the 2027 presidential election. Speaking during an interview on the Mic On podcast with journalist Seun Okinbaloye, Zainab described the upcoming election as potentially Tinubu’s most difficult political challenge to date.
“It’s really bad. Tinubu may get maybe 30 percent or less,” she said. “It’s going to be worse than the 2023 election.”
She emphasized the intensity of the political climate ahead of the next election cycle, stating, “It’s going to be the toughest battle that he will ever see. This coalition, as much as I don’t understand what they are doing, anybody that sees them knows we need to sit up.”
Zainab was referring to a coalition of prominent Nigerians who have recently adopted the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as their platform to challenge Tinubu in 2027. The group has named key officers and is actively reorganizing to position itself as a viable alternative in the next general election.
