2027: All Southern States Will Back Tinubu’s Re-election – Joe Igbokwe
A prominent figure in the All Progressives Congress (APC), Joe Igbokwe, has expressed confidence that all states in Southern Nigeria will support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027. In a post shared on his Facebook page, Igbokwe stated that even states currently under the control of opposition parties will rally behind the APC during the next general election.
According to him, “No one single state in Southern Nigeria, no matter the party it belongs to, will vote for any other party except APC in 2027. Please know this and have inner peace. It is what it is.”
His comments come amid rising speculation that several governors from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), particularly in the South, are positioning themselves to support Tinubu’s second term. This speculation gained traction after Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, defected from the PDP to join the APC earlier this week.
