Former Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello, has married a fourth wife, Hiqma, in a private ceremony held in Abuja. The event took place over the weekend and was attended by close friends and family members.
Confirmation of the marriage came through Hafiza Yahaya Bello, the former governor’s third wife, who shared the news on Instagram. In her post, she expressed gratitude and welcomed Hiqma into the family, writing, “Alhamdulillah, our family just got a little bigger and more loving! A warm welcome to our new family member, Mrs. Hiqma Yahaya Bello! May Allah bless our union and fill our home with love, peace, and Barakah. Amin.”
Bello, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), served as Kogi State governor from 2016 to 2023, earning national attention as the youngest sitting governor during his time in office. Prior to his marriage to Hiqma, he was married to Amina Oyiza Bello, Rashida Yahaya Bello, and Hafiza Bello.
Known for keeping his private life out of the spotlight, Bello’s latest marriage adds a new chapter to his personal story. He holds a BSc in Accounting and Business Administration and an MSc in Business Administration, both from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
