Women Are Less Corrupt Than Men – Peter Obi
In a recent episode of the Honest Bunch Podcast, Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate and former governor of Anambra State, expressed his belief that gender plays a significant role in corruption levels, asserting that women are less corrupt than men.
Obi emphasized that women’s family-oriented nature contributes to their commitment to societal improvement. “Women are less corrupt. They are not as corrupt as men. And because they have families, they are more determined to see things work,” he stated.
Reflecting on his tenure as governor, Obi noted his efforts to empower women in leadership roles, revealing that his Chief of Staff and key commissioners for Education and Planning were all women. His comments highlight a perspective that advocates for increased female representation in governance as a means to enhance integrity and accountability.
