Woman Allegedly Machetes Sister to Death, Attacks Mother, Niece in Enugu Community
A tragic incident has shaken the Aji community in Enugu-Ezike, Igbo Eze North Local Government Area of Enugu State, as a woman allegedly killed her younger sister with a machete and attempted to take the lives of her mother and niece.
The attack left the victims severely injured, and they were immediately rushed to Bishop Shanahan Hospital in Nsukka, where they are currently fighting for their lives.
The suspect’s identity has not yet been confirmed. However, a video shared on Facebook by Enugu media personality Chijinkem Ugwuanyi on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, shows the woman admitting to the crime. In the footage, she claims to have been possessed by a strange spirit that compelled her to carry out the violent act.
Authorities have not released further details, and investigations into the shocking incident are ongoing.
