“Why I Can’t Date a Man Earning Below N3m” – Former Kenyan Beauty Queen
Former Miss Tourism Lamu County, Jennifer Waridi, has sparked online debate after revealing she cannot date a man who earns less than N3 million. In a candid interview, the Kenyan beauty queen opened up about her past relationship struggles and shared why financial stability is now a non-negotiable requirement in her love life.
Waridi, who is currently single and focused on personal growth, recounted her experience dating an unemployed man. During the relationship, she said she covered all his bills, including rent. Despite her support, the man eventually left her, a move that left her with hard-earned lessons about love and money.
“I can’t date a jobless man. I tried that and learnt the hard way. I even paid his rent! That’s a scam, and I believe women should not accept that,” she said firmly.
Following that experience, Waridi made it clear that she now prioritizes partners who are financially stable, saying she is only open to dating men earning between KSh 300,000 and KSh 500,000 per month.
“The cost of living is high. He must be able to pay rent, spoil me with the baby girl treatment, and of course, we can still save,” she explained.
Beyond finances, Waridi also shared that her ideal partner must be intellectually stimulating and confident enough to keep up with her ambitious lifestyle. “I want a man who is smarter than I am. He should not feel intimidated by my big moves. He must be confident enough to challenge me,” she added.
