“Who Would Have Thought That President Trump Would Recognise Me?” – Oluremi Tinubu
First Lady Oluremi Tinubu said she was surprised after being acknowledged by United States President Donald Trump during her official visit to the U.S.
Speaking in an interview with Fox News, Tinubu described the recognition as unexpected. “I am receiving global recognition for my work, and that is what life is all about,” she added.
The acknowledgment occurred at the United States National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, D.C., where President Trump publicly recognized her as a respected leader of one of Nigeria’s largest churches.
The National Prayer Breakfast is an annual interfaith gathering that brings together U.S. political leaders, lawmakers, religious figures, and international guests to discuss faith, leadership, and global cooperation. The event has also served as a platform for diplomatic engagement and symbolic recognition of visiting dignitaries.
