What do you really miss in Church

People cursing the Government for not re-opening churches……..Na wa o!!

Why are we not look for other ways to gather and pray.

Free conference calls,

Zoom cloud meetings

WhatsApp meetings etc.

Physical churches could be closed but is the spiritual church closed????

Are you personally closed?????

People should at this point take advantage of technology to meet, pray and study the Bible.

God can not be limited to physical buildings.

We should ask ourselves that pertinent question “So what exactly do i miss in church?

My pastor?

My exotic wears?

The congregational atmosphere?

My Sunday-Sunday gist with friends?

Think deeply…….

Then think beyond the box!

May God help us from our hidden hypocrisy of true essence of worship …….

There lies the real deal…

“what is your spiritual intimacy with God?”,

Trust me, it has absolutely nothing to do with going to church or being born again.

I also came across this analogy between a congregant and the pastor:

Congregant: I want to change church, I am not feeling this church anymore.

Pastor: Why Sister?

Congregant: Every time I am in church, I see people busy on their phones, instead of listening to the sermon, the ushers are not doing their work.

Pastor: I wish you would stay, but salvation is personal, but before you make a final decision, could you please do this for me.
Please, fill a glass cup with water and try walking round the church twice, without allowing any drop to spill over.

After some minutes:

Congregant: Pastor, I am through, I made sure no drop fell over.

Pastor: How did you do that?

Congregant: I fully concentrated on what I was doing.

Pastor: If you do that in church regularly, I am sure you wouldn’t be seeing all those persons busy on their phones.

Lesson:
How spiritually intimate are you with God?

Are you more concerned about the physical things?

How close has this period drawn you to God?

How much have you developed your spiritual self?

Or are you waiting for the re-opening of Churches???

Don’t get me wrong please,

The Holy Book says, “……Do not forsake the assembling of ourselves together……”Heb 10:25

It also says “Let everyone be subject to governing authorities……..”Rom13:1

The solution lies in self development, this includes……thinking out of the box to propagate God, that’s where technology comes in at these times.

The advocacy for church opening at these times……..?????

I definitely have my reservations.

It is time to Think beyond the box.
