“We Will Kidnap President Tinubu in Days Ahead,” Terrorist Commander Threatens After Kebbi and Niger Abductions
A video circulating online shows an armed militant, dressed in a Nigerian military jacket, threatening further kidnappings in Nigeria, including targeting President Bola Tinubu, state governors, and military officers. The militant claimed responsibility for recent abductions of schoolchildren in Kebbi and Niger states, insisting that government arrests would not deter their actions. He urged Nigerians to rely on divine protection rather than state authorities.
In the video, he said, “Everyone has woken up. We kidnapped school students in Kebbi State and Niger State. Next time, we will be kidnapping Nigerian military officers and taking them to the forest.” He also warned, “Nigeria, in the days ahead, we will kidnap a governor, we will kidnap the President, and others.”
The threats follow two recent school attacks. On November 21, terrorists stormed St. Mary’s Papiri Private Catholic Secondary School in Agwara Local Government Area of Niger State, abducting more than 100 students and teachers. Local officials confirmed the raid, describing it as a coordinated early morning operation that left communities shaken.
Five days earlier, gunmen attacked Maga Comprehensive Girls’ Secondary School in Kebbi State, abducting around 25 female students and killing at least one staff member. A school guard was injured during the assault, which began as students prepared for their morning routines. Both attacks left lasting fear and disruption in their communities.
The militant in the video concluded with a message to followers on social media, asserting that no government action could prevent their campaign of terror.
