‘We Will Deliver Two Million Votes for Tinubu in 2027’ – Northern Nigeria Youths Union Pledges
In a bold display of political unity, the Northern Nigeria Youths Union (NNYU) has pledged to secure two million votes for President Bola Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 General Elections. The announcement came after a strategic meeting in Jos, Plateau State, where Hon. Abubakar Aliyu, the Chairman of the union and Galadiman Takai, declared the group’s unwavering commitment to Tinubu’s continued leadership.
Aliyu emphasized that the pledge was a reflection of regional solidarity and patriotism, underscoring the movement’s widespread support across Northern Nigeria. He praised the President for his dedication to national development, particularly in the Northern region, citing the Abuja-Kaduna-Kano superhighway as a prime example of Tinubu’s commitment to infrastructure and progress. “It’s a three-lane marvel on each side. That road alone is a symbol of hope, progress, and a better tomorrow for the North and beyond,” Aliyu remarked.
Aliyu also highlighted the recent reductions in food and fuel prices during the Ramadan period as a tangible example of Tinubu’s impact. “The markets breathed, and the people felt relief. And they know who made that happen,” he said, adding that the changes were widely recognized by Nigerians across the country.
With over 65,000 registered members from all 19 Northern states, the NNYU, a diverse group of both Muslims and Christians, maintains that it operates purely out of volunteerism and national pride. Aliyu stressed that no financial contributions were made to fund the movement, emphasizing that it was powered by patriotism alone. “This is pure patriotism. We are the people, and we will mobilize voters en masse. The 2027 votes will shock the doubters,” he stated.
The union plans to increase voter registration efforts, ensuring that more citizens have valid voter cards before the 2027 elections. Additionally, Aliyu appealed to President Tinubu to ensure that his appointees are held accountable to the public, urging them to prioritize effective governance. “Let those in government know they are there to serve, not to squander. The people deserve to feel the presence of government at all levels,” he added
