Video: Obiano Appears in Court Over ‘N4bn Money Laundering’ Charges
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has brought forth charges of money laundering against Willie Obiano, the immediate past governor of Anambra state. The former governor made a court appearance before Inyang Ekwo, a federal high court judge in Abuja, on Wednesday.
Facing a nine-count charge, Obiano vehemently pleaded not guilty during the court proceedings.
Counsel for the EFCC, Sylvanus Tahir, asked that he be remanded in the custody of the anti-graft agency.
