Video: “90% of Men Born and Raised in Onitsha Beat Their Wives” — Nigerian Man Sparks Social Media Debate
A Nigerian man living in Asaba has stirred controversy online with a bold claim about men from Onitsha, Anambra State.
In a video circulating on social media, @odogwuasaabaa asserted that most men born and raised in Onitsha physically abuse their wives and generally show little respect toward women.
He said, “Any man born and raised in Onitsha does not respect women. They often bully women, especially if you do not dress the way they like. You can even see it in the market — the way they speak to women shows they were not properly raised. Yes, men in Onitsha hustle, but they beat their women. It is high time they stop it.”
The claim has sparked a heated debate online, with some users rejecting the generalization, while others say it reflects real experiences.
