Veteran Nollywood Actor Fabian Adibe Dies at 82
Nollywood has ost one of its revered figures as veteran actor Fabian Adibe passed away at the age of 82.
The news of his death was confirmed early Wednesday by Seun Oloketuyi, CEO of Best of Nollywood (BON). In a social media post, Oloketuyi wrote:
*“Things Fall Apart actor, Fabian Adibie, is dead. Died 2:30 am this morning.”*
Adibe, widely celebrated for his remarkable contribution to the Nigerian film industry, was best known for his role in the screen adaptation of Chinua Achebe’s classic novel, *Things Fall Apart*. Over the decades, he graced numerous productions, leaving an indelible mark on Nollywood’s golden era.
Tributes have since poured in from colleagues, fans, and admirers who remember him as a “true legend” and a pioneer whose artistry inspired generations of actors.
As the industry mourns his passing, Adibe’s legacy as a cultural icon and storyteller remains deeply etched in the history of African cinema.
