US Bombs Three Iranian Nuclear Sites, Trump Declares “Historic Moment”

The United States has launched airstrikes on three nuclear facilities in Iran, President Donald Trump announced early Sunday morning. In a series of social media posts, Trump confirmed that American military aircraft targeted and struck nuclear sites in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, marking the first direct U.S. military involvement in Israel’s ongoing campaign against Iran’s nuclear program.

“We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan,” Trump posted. He claimed the mission delivered a full payload on the Fordow facility, and that all aircraft had exited Iranian airspace safely. “There is not another military in the world that could have done this. Trump described the strikes as a “historic moment” and said he would address the nation on the developments. He warned that if Iran does not seek peace, “it will get hit again.”

Iranian officials acknowledged the attacks. According to the Tasnim News Agency, Morteza Haydari, a crisis management spokesperson in Qom province, confirmed damage to the Fordow nuclear plant from what he called “enemy airstrikes.” Akbar Salehi, the deputy governor for security in Isfahan, also reported attacks near the nuclear facilities in Isfahan and Natanz.

Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei had said that any American attack would bring “irreparable damage,” while Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei warned of an “all-out war in the region” if the U.S. joined the conflict.
