UNN Student DJ Brownlex Dies in Tragic Accident En Route to Davido Concert

A University of Nigeria, Nsukka student, Chrisantus Chukwuebuka Nwankwo, widely known on campus as DJ Brownlex, has died in a car accident while traveling to Davido’s concert in Enugu. Chukwuebuka, a 300-level Economics student, was among a group of students on a bus that reportedly departed late on Saturday evening, November 1, without proper headlights. The vehicle collided with a parked trailer along the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway.

The accident claimed the lives of the driver and Chukwuebuka immediately. Several other students sustained serious injuries, including two 300-level students who are unconscious and a final-year student suffering from a severe brain injury. The injured were rushed to Shanahan Hospital in Nsukka for treatment.

Chukwuebuka was laid to rest on Sunday, November 2. A video circulating on social media shows a female relative grieving over his body in an open casket. Friends and classmates have taken to Facebook to mourn his passing and pay tribute to his memory.
