Trump to Revoke Student Visas of Hamas Sympathizers in Crackdown on Campus Antisemitism
In a major policy move, former President Donald Trump has announced plans to cancel student visas for individuals found to be supporting Hamas, as part of a broader crackdown on antisemitism at U.S. universities.
According to Fox News, Trump’s directive calls for an aggressive law enforcement response, including identifying legal avenues to prosecute and deport foreign students involved in pro-Hamas activism. The plan reportedly instructs all federal agencies to assess civil and criminal authorities that can be used to combat antisemitism, with a 60-day deadline for action.
“It shall be the policy of the United States to combat anti-Semitism vigorously, using all available and appropriate legal tools, to prosecute, remove, or otherwise hold to account the perpetrators of unlawful anti-Semitic harassment and violence,” the order states.
A White House fact sheet obtained by Fox News confirms that the Department of Justice has been directed to take immediate action to uphold law and order. The administration also vowed to investigate and penalize cases of antisemitism within what it described as “leftist, anti-American colleges and universities.”
