“Trump Talks Too Much, Says Contradictory Things” — Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister

Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Saeed Khatibzadeh, has criticised US President Donald Trump over what he described as inconsistent and excessive remarks, amid heightened tensions between both countries.

Speaking to journalists on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomatic Forum, Khatibzadeh questioned the clarity of recent statements from Washington, particularly comments suggesting the United States could resume military action if no agreement is reached with Iran by Wednesday.

“The US president talks too much. He said contradictory things within the same statement. I don’t know exactly what he meant,” Khatibzadeh said.

He stressed that Tehran is not seeking conflict, warning that war would not yield meaningful results.

“We do not want war because it does not bring any gains,” he said, adding that Iran remains prepared to respond to any form of aggression.

“We will defend ourselves if we are attacked,” Khatibzadeh stated.
