Trump supporters go crazy, interrupt proceedings to confirm Biden victory, members of congress run for cover
Just minutes after addressing a massive rally, outgoing US president Donald Trumps supporters have invaded the capitol building where proceedings were ongoing to confirm Biden’s victory.
Mike Pence, Trumps vice president was also in the building as he is by law designated to lead the session to confirm the electoral votes. The US Vice President is the head of Congress.
Supporters broke into the building leaving members of Congress scampering to safety.
Police have also confirmed the shooting of a female protestor who is being assisted but
