Senator Adams Oshiomhole, representing the APC Edo-North Senatorial District, has lauded President Bola Tinubu’s administration for its remarkable strides in revitalizing the nation’s socio-economic and political landscape. Speaking exclusively to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday, Senator Oshiomhole highlighted the groundbreaking decisions that he believes will reshape the nation’s future.
Senator Oshiomhole, a former National Chairman of the APC, emphasized that President Tinubu’s administration is setting a solid foundation for development. One of the notable achievements, as pointed out by Oshiomhole, is the paradigm shift in the appointment of FCT ministers. President Tinubu’s decision to appoint Mr. Nyesom Wike as the FCT minister shattered the traditional barriers of birthplace, tongue, and dialect.
“In a single stroke, President Tinubu demonstrated that anyone, regardless of their background, can rise to become a minister,” Oshiomhole stated. “This move has instilled hope in every corner of Nigeria, proving that opportunities are not limited by regional origin.”
Oshiomhole hailed President Tinubu’s ability to engage with diverse perspectives and his willingness to listen. He noted that a government’s success is contingent upon the quality of its ministers and their leadership within their respective ministries. He expressed his optimism that this administration would be remembered for fixing longstanding issues that previous governments struggled to address.
Under President Tinubu’s leadership, Oshiomhole commended the appointment of Engineer Abubakar Momoh as the Minister of Niger Delta Development. This move was especially meaningful to Edo, Oshiomhole’s home state, as it marked the first time a citizen from that region assumed such a vital role. “President Tinubu’s courage and consistency have reinforced the notion that every Nigerian is entitled to opportunities across the nation,” Oshiomhole affirmed.
The Senator urged Nigerians to support President Tinubu’s efforts and showered praise on the progress achieved. “President Tinubu has achieved milestones that even past military leaders could not. We, as a nation, should be proud of these accomplishments,” he declared.
As Senator Oshiomhole congratulated Minister Momoh on his appointment, he also called on him to bring positive change to the Niger Delta region. He highlighted the importance of ensuring that the region reaps benefits from its oil resources, thereby enriching the lives of its people.
Oshiomhole concluded by expressing his gratitude to the royal leaders of the Niger Delta for their presence at Minister Momoh’s inauguration and invoked blessings for his future endeavors.
